ARGONTOS is a local band featuring Todd Fillion (mandolin), Leslie Gregory (fiddle), Vern Pococke (djiembe, whistle, recorder), Karen Horwath (keyboard, whistle, hand percussion), Bobbie Pennington (bodhran and dumbek), David Horwath (bass), and Sherri Gregory (guitar). The name Argontos is taken from an ancient Gaulish word meaning "silver treasure"---and this band's unique blend of "old world music with a new world flair" is truly one of Saginaw's hidden treasures.
